Facebook Zprávy - INNO58 - a leader meeting report:
"Hi guys,

I had a meeting with Noora on Tuesday 23rd March and have to start working on our INNO project.

At the beginning I am sending you a few questions concerning a camp in Archipelago:

1) If somebody of you have some food allergy?

2) Decide if we want to live together (all our team in one room) + bathrooms are of course separated or if we want to live separated (man/ladies).
• I prefer to live together.

3) Next point of the kind of transport to the camp – no one from our group have a car so Timo is trying to figure out something.

4) There is going to be “competition” between us as teams – another students of INNO will vote the best team work (evaluation = attendance, doing assignments, but the biggest ratio concern utilization of our project for the company)

5) If we want to make some party after the final presentation (16th April)
• I am in ;)

Please write me your answers as soon as possible – we have to do it until this Tuesday 23rd March.

I am working on our schedule right now and will send you when I am finished.

c u

Andrew"

More topics to research:

  • What makes Turku special from the rest of the world?

  • What is exciting about Turku?

Meeting 10.03.2010

So it begins! Our business is Hirvilampi and our assignment is to look 5 years ahead. What vision do we see for Hirvilampi? How can our business modify over the next several years (in a realistic and feasible manner) to become a destination? Where people come to Turku because of Hirvilampi, not where people come to Hirvilampi because they're going to be in Turku.

Task for the coming 2 weeks
  • Familiarize ourselves with the company before the futuristic meeting on the 23rd of March.
Suggested reading in general that may help with concepts and understanding social media
  • Seth Godin's blog
  • Tom Peters: Reimagined (here) and Crazy Times Call For Crazy Organizations (here)
  • Robert Waterman: What America Does Right (here)
  • Rowan Gibson: Rethinking the Future (here)
  • Tom Kelley: The 10 Faces of Innovation (here)
  • Robert Sutton: Weird Ideas that Work (here)
  • Jim Collins: Good to Great (here) - did I find the right one?
